SYNOPSIS                     

Robert Bloch (Rémy Girard), a well-respected psychiatrist and analyst, discovers his young wife Carole (Natacha Régnier) is having an affair with a much younger man. Thrown completely off balance by the discovery, his obsession prevents him from concentrating on his 
patients until Léo Debond (Laurent Lucas) seeks his help. The depressive and psychotic bachelor has never gotten over an unhappy love affair with an actress that had happened fifteen years ago.

Secretly identifying himself with Léo, Robert listens to him with a mixture of compassion and disgust. When Carole lets him know she is going to leave him for good, Robert realizes Léo will provide him with the perfect means to relieve his suffering.
